How to Build a Playground for Your Toddler
The most fond and carefree moments in a person's whole life is usually the times he spent at the playground as a kid. For this reason, play in your toddler or little kid's life should be given as much importance as his other basic needs.
A haven where he is free to explore the world on his own terms, use and develop his imagination, and interact with kids his own age is a place that will do wonders to cultivate his overall development. It is possible for you to create your child's very own playground right in the boundaries of your own property, and here are some tips on how you can do so.
First, choose the location in your backyard on where to construct the playground. It should be as flat and level as possible to ensure the safety of your kid and his playmates. It should be a location as close to your house and far away from the busy street traffic. Select the playground equipment for the area that are suitable for the age of your kid and his playmates. Designate a particular space for each equipment; make sure that there is enough space around each. Mark the outline of the playground and its boundaries using spray paint. Next, install the equipment in the proper locations firmly and properly to ensure the highest degree of safety. Next, create a playground surface with 8 to 12 inches of safety mulch using sand, wood chips, gravel or even recycled tires. Add an edging to keep the playground surface in place. As a final caution for safety, add a fence around the area to keep your kids in the play area, and strangers from trespassing it.
